Who writes

The Payables Brief desk writes every cost record, list, comparison, guide and research piece. No vendor, investor or other third party directs what we publish.

Where the figures come from

How a figure is computed

Each computed figure is the monthly cost at a stated invoice volume. It is built from line items that add up to the total, and the cost per invoice is the monthly cost divided by the volume. The pricing methodology lists every assumption.

Dates and the change log

Every record carries the date its prices apply to and a change log. When a price, a fee or a computed figure changes, the change log records what changed and when. Earlier entries stay visible.

How lists are ranked

Lists rank vendors by fit for a stated buyer and volume, and print the cost per invoice at that volume wherever it can be computed. A quote-only vendor can still rank on fit; its cost cell says quote only.

Corrections

Email hello@payablesbrief.com with the URL, the correct information and the vendor page that shows it. We fix the record if the source holds up and log the change with its date.

Independence

Some vendors pay us to be included on Payables Brief. That payment never affects the rankings or the review itself. It never changes a cost figure, a rank or a verdict. The details are on how we make money.
