Looking for an alternative to BILL usually means one of two things: a lower published price, or an ERP connection BILL holds behind its Enterprise plan. Ramp answers the first, at $1.60 per invoice against BILL’s $1.70 to $1.64 depending on volume. Tipalti answers the second, with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Dynamics 365, QuickBooks and SAP all native on its one priced plan, though its per-invoice fees stay undisclosed. The rest of this list, Stampli, AvidXchange, Coupa and Airbase, publish no price at all and rank by fit instead.

Where BILL’s alternatives actually differ

BILL’s own plan table gates NetSuite, Sage Intacct and Dynamics 365 behind its custom-priced Enterprise tier, and gives QuickBooks and Xero full sync only from Team up. Tipalti and Stampli both name those same ERPs as native on a single tier, which is the real reason a buyer looks past BILL rather than a feature a competitor invented. NetSuite fit specifically is worth checking before any switch, since it is the ERP with the widest vendor coverage in this category.

BILL also publishes a 2.9 percent card payment fee, a cost Ramp’s own schedule does not list at all. The full breakdown of that difference, along with cost per invoice at every volume, is in the Ramp vs BILL comparison.

By volume

A team at 1,000 invoices a month rarely needs the ERP depth that pushes a buyer toward Tipalti or Stampli in the first place. At 5,000 or 25,000 invoices a month, the ERP question usually decides the shortlist before the price does, since a mid-market or larger finance team is more likely to already run one of the ERPs BILL gates to Enterprise.

Run your own volume through the cost per invoice calculator, built on the same pricing methodology behind every number on this page.

For the full field ranked by fit and cost, see the complete list of AP automation software, or check Sage Intacct and Dynamics 365 fit directly if an ERP connection is the deciding factor.

The ranking, with cost at 5,000 invoices a month

1. Ramp: Best for teams that want a lower published cost per invoice than BILL

Ramp is the closest alternative to BILL on cost: its published fee schedule works out to $1.60 per invoice at every volume this site tracks, against BILL's $1.70 at 1,000 invoices and $1.64 at 5,000 and 25,000. Ramp syncs QuickBooks and Xero on every plan including Free, where BILL requires its Team plan for full two-way sync. Ramp carries a 4.8 out of 5 rating on G2 from 2,536 reviews, covering its whole spend platform rather than Bill Pay alone.

Ramp's fee schedule publishes no card payment fee at all, where BILL publishes 2.9 percent, so a team that pays vendors by card has no published Ramp number to compare against BILL's.

2. Tipalti: Best for paying a large number of international payees from one account

Where BILL prices per user, Tipalti charges one flat platform fee starting at $99 a month with unlimited users, and names native NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Dynamics 365, QuickBooks and SAP Business One integrations on a single plan, a wider ERP spread than BILL offers below its Enterprise tier. Tipalti's per-invoice and per-payment fees are not published, so its $99 floor understates the real monthly cost.

The $99 a month figure excludes every per-invoice and per-payment fee, so it is not a full alternative figure to compare against BILL's complete published total.

3. Stampli: Best for eRP coverage broader than BILL's below its Enterprise plan

Stampli publishes no price at all, unlike BILL, but names native integrations with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Dynamics 365, QuickBooks and SAP. NetSuite, Sage Intacct and Dynamics 365 all sit behind BILL's custom-priced Enterprise plan, while BILL does not name SAP at any plan. Stampli carries a 4.6 out of 5 rating on G2 from 2,039 reviews, the highest review count of any alternative on this list that publishes no price.

4. AvidXchange: Best for mid-market teams that want a dedicated AP and payments vendor

AvidXchange positions itself specifically for mid-market businesses, a narrower focus than BILL's small-business-to-enterprise range, but publishes no plan names, prices or named ERP integrations on its own site. It was taken private in October 2025 when TPG and Corpay completed a joint acquisition. AvidXchange carries a 4.4 out of 5 rating on G2 from 333 reviews.

5. Coupa: Best for large enterprises already standardized on SAP, Oracle or NetSuite

Coupa targets large enterprises specifically, above BILL's own Enterprise tier, and names native connections to SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, QuickBooks and Xero. Its own site states only that AP pricing in the market generally runs per invoice or by subscription, without naming a Coupa figure. Coupa carries a 4.2 out of 5 rating on G2 from 570 reviews.

6. Airbase: Best for finance teams already running Paylocity for HR and payroll

Airbase became a Paylocity product in 2024, and its pricing now runs through Paylocity's general HR, finance and IT pricing rather than a standalone AP page, unlike BILL's dedicated AP and AR pricing table. Airbase names no ERP integrations by name on its current pricing page.
